Mothering Sunday has been celebrated on the 4th Sunday in lent since the 16th century. Over time the tradition has made its way across the world and is now a holiday celebrated across many countries. The date however differs from country to country. A stunning bouquet is a traditional gift for Mother’s Day. However, we also have a selection of add on’s available to add to your order. Centuries ago the working class would be allowed home to visit their mothers and families (one Sunday in the middle of Lent) having been given the day off by their employers from their domestic duties or apprentices.
