Sending Mother's Day flowers is the best way to let the most important lady in your life know how special they are, how much they mean to you and how grateful you are for everything.
Mother’s Day presents and gift ideas are in abundance in the run up to Mother’s Day, so much so we can almost become overwhelmed by the selection of products on offer. So what does make an ideal Mother’s Day present? Well, if you’re a traditionalist then a bouquet of flowers are the present of choice. The giving of flowers is a time honoured tradition. It’s therefore no surprise that one of the most popular Mother’s Day presents today is still the giving of flowers.
Centuries ago the working class would be allowed home to visit their mothers and families (one Sunday in the middle of Lent) having been given the day off by their employers from their domestic duties or apprentices. As they walked to church children would pick wildflowers from fields or the roadside to take to the church or give to their mothers as small gifts, whilst others were allowed to take flowers from the hothouses or gardens of the mansions where they worked.
